Region 9 News

Five churches were represented at our meeting held at Trinity UCC. It was a joyful occassion as we welcomed Pastor Norma Patterson, Good Shepherd of Faith UCC, representing the newest member of our Region 9 family. We enjoyed Pastor Jerry's presentation of the Mission Road Show and shared a delicious salad luncheon. Many thanks to Mabel and Virginia for their luncheon help. Special thanks to Pastor Ted for devotions and sharing a Pastor Gus story with us.

Uni-Pres Kindercottage fund raiser at Applebee's is a go! We will arrange a February date.

We would like to send more kids to DuBois Center Camp by offering a gift of a scholarship. We will work on developing that effort.

The ISC Hunger/Food Action Committee's Trivia Night raised $1,820.50. We will use this to feed hungry people in ISC. If your food pantry could use some help, let me know.

We are looking forward to our joint Thanksgiving celebration on November 23 at 3 p.m. to be held at Good Shepherd of Faith Fellowship UCC. This year, Good Shepherd celebrated their 10th Anniversary, 1998-2008. Congratulations! Canned goods (by the case, hopefully) will be donated to the Greater St. Clair County Emergency Food Pantry. All cash offering will go to Uni-Pres Kindercottage. All are welcome to join us as we give thanks for His great goodness and the opportunity to share our blessings. Please join us for worship and fellowship.
